How to Dry Jujube Fruit

Method 1: Sun-drying Jujube Fruit

Ingredients:

- Fresh jujube fruit

Equipment:

- Large baking sheet

- Cheesecloth or muslin cloth

- Tray

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Jujube Fruit:

- Wash the jujube fruit thoroughly under running water.

- Remove any damaged or bruised pieces.

- Pat the jujube fruit dry with a clean cloth.

2. Prepare the Baking Sheet:

- Line a large baking sheet with a single layer of cheesecloth or muslin cloth.

- Place the jujube fruit on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching each other.

3. Sun-dry the Jujube Fruit:

- Place the baking sheet in a sunny location outdoors.

- Cover the jujube fruit with another layer of cheesecloth or muslin cloth to protect them from insects.

- Let the jujube fruit dry for several days until they become shriveled and dry to the touch.

- Depending on the weather conditions and the size of the jujube fruit, the drying process may take up to 1-2 weeks.

4. Store the Dried Jujube Fruit:

- Once the jujube fruit is completely dry, remove them from the baking sheet.

- Store the dried jujube fruit in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Method 2: Oven-drying Jujube Fruit

Ingredients:

- Fresh jujube fruit

Equipment:

- Oven

- Baking sheet

- Parchment paper

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

- Preheat the oven to 125°C (250°F).

2. Prepare the Jujube Fruit:

- Wash the jujube fruit thoroughly under running water.

- Remove any damaged or bruised pieces.

- Pat the jujube fruit dry with a clean cloth.

3. Prepare the Baking Sheet:

- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

- Place the jujube fruit on the baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching each other.

- Check on the jujube fruit periodically and flip them over if needed to ensure even drying.

5. Store the Dried Jujube Fruit:
