How to Cook a White Pumpkin

Ingredients:

- 1 white pumpkin, about 2 pounds

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Wash the pumpkin and cut it in half.

3. Scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp.

4. Drizzle the pumpkin halves with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

5. Place the pumpkin halves, cut-side down, on a baking sheet.

6. Add the water to the baking sheet.

7. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the pumpkin is tender.

8. Serve the pumpkin immediately, or let it cool and store in the refrigerator for later.

Tips:

- To make the pumpkin easier to cut, microwave it on high for 5 minutes before cutting.

- You can also roast the pumpkin seeds. To do this, toss the seeds with olive oil and salt and spread them on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes, or until the seeds are browned.

- White pumpkin is a great source of vitamins A, C, and K. It is also low in calories and fat.
