How to Make My Own Pumpkin Powder

Making your own pumpkin powder is an easy and rewarding way to enjoy the flavours and nutrients of pumpkin year-round. Here's a simple recipe to make your own pumpkin powder:

Ingredients:

* 1 medium-sized pumpkin (sugar pumpkin or pie pumpkin)

* Baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 100°C (200°F).

2. Wash the pumpkin thoroughly and cut it in half. Remove the seeds and stringy pulp.

3. Scoop out the pumpkin flesh and place it in a large bowl. Use a spoon or potato masher to puree the pumpkin until smooth.

4. Spread the pureed pumpkin evenly onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet. You want the pumpkin to be in a thin layer so it dries out evenly.

5. Bake in the preheated oven for 3 to 4 hours, stirring the pumpkin puree every 30 minutes to ensure even drying.

6. Remove the pumpkin puree from the oven and let it cool completely.

7. Once the pumpkin puree has cooled, transfer it to a food processor or blender and blend until it becomes a fine powder.

8. Store the pumpkin powder in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 year.

This homemade pumpkin powder can be used in a variety of recipes, including soups, stews, smoothies, muffins, and bread. Experiment with it and enjoy the delicious flavour of pumpkin all year long!
