How to Make a Gumball Machine for Day Box

For the Day Box:

- Empty tissue box or shoebox

- Wrapping paper or construction paper

- Scissors

- Glue

- Tape

For the Gumball Machine:

- Clear plastic bottle (such as a water bottle or soda bottle)

- Hot glue gun

- Black paint or spray paint

- Silver or chrome spray paint

- Plastic gumballs or beads

- Wooden dowel or skewer

- Small piece of cardboard

- Pliers

Instructions:

To Make the Day Box:

1. Decorate the empty tissue box or shoebox with your choice of wrapping paper or construction paper.

2. Cut a hole in the top of the box, about 2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. This is where the gumball machine will go.

3.Tape the hole to secure it.

To Make the Gumball Machine:

1. Cut the clear plastic bottle in half. The top half will be the gumball machine, and the bottom half will be the base.

2. Spray-paint the top half of the bottle black.

3. Spray-paint the bottom half of the bottle silver or chrome.

4. Glue the top half of the bottle upside-down to the bottom half, with the opening of the bottle facing down.

5. Hot glue the skewer or dowel to the inside of the top half of the bottle, about 1 inch from the top.

6. Cut the small piece of cardboard into a circle, and hot glue it to the top of the bottle, around the skewer or dowel.

7.Add the plastic gumballs or beads to the gumball machine.

8. Insert the skewer or dowel into the hole in the top of the Day box.

_Note: You can also glue or tape a small piece of fabric or paper to the front of the Day box, and write a message on it, such as "Day 1" or "Day 100"._

Once you've made your gumball machine, you can use it to:

- Collect gumballs or beads each day, and watch your stash grow over time.

- Give out gumballs or beads as rewards.

- Use it as a decoration in your home or office.
