How to Make Cinnamon-Scented Pinecones (Two Easy Tutorials)

# Cinnamon-Scented Pinecones

Scented pinecones are a lovely and easy way to bring a touch of nature and fragrance into your home. They make wonderful ornaments, gifts, or seasonal decorations, and they couldn't be easier to make.

All you need are:

* Pinecones

* Ground cinnamon

* A piece of cardboard or parchment paper

* A spoon or spatula

* A ziploc bag or airtight container

Option 1: Sprinkle Method

1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).

2. Spread your pinecones out in a single layer on a piece of cardboard or parchment paper.

3. Sprinkle the pinecones with the ground cinnamon. You want to use enough to coat the pinecones but not so much that they're caked in cinnamon.

4. Place the pinecones in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.

5. Remove the pinecones from the oven and let them cool completely.

6. Once the pinecones have cooled, put them in a ziploc bag or airtight container to keep their scent.

Option 2: Cinnamon Oil Method

1. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with a few drops of essential oil. You can use any essential oil you like, but cinnamon, clove, and orange are all good choices.

2. Stir the mixture until the cinnamon is well-coated with the essential oil.

3. Spread your pinecones out in a single layer on a piece of cardboard or parchment paper.

4. Using a spoon or spatula, spread a small amount of the cinnamon and essential oil mixture onto each pinecone.

5. Place the pinecones in a ziploc bag or airtight container to let them absorb the scent.

6. Leave them for several days to a week, checking and shaking the container every few days.

7. Once the pinecones have absorbed the scent, remove them from the container and display them.
