Massey Ferguson 135 Tractor Specs

The Massey Ferguson 135 tractor replaced the Massey Ferguson 35 but retained the distinctive red bodywork, red-wheel rims, gray-painted engine and transmission. A new radiator cover, housing the headlamps, was the most significant change from the 35 model.The 135 was a standard agricultural, low-cost entry tractor aimed at the small farmer. The 135 model was produced between 1964 and 1975. It sold for $4385 in 1975.

    • The Massey Ferguson 135 had a 45.5 horsepower engine. The 135 was available with a Perkins three-cylinder diesel engine. It was also available as a standard Continental four-cylinder gasoline engine or a Perkins three-cylinder gasoline engine.

    Three-Point Hitch

    • The Massey Ferguson 135 retained the tractor manufacturer's distinctive three-point hydraulic hitch which allowed plows and other implements to be attached to the tractor. The three-point hitch went on to become universal in all tractors.

    Dimensions

    • The 135 had a 72-inch wheelbase and was 120.6 inches long and 54 inches tall. The 135 weighed 3565 pounds for the Perkins gasoline option, 3645 pounds for the diesel option and 3810 pounds for the Continental gasoline option.

    Gears

    • The 135 had six forward and two reverse gears in the early models and eight forward and two reverse for later standard transmission.
