* 1 cardboard box about the size of a shoebox
* 1 empty toilet paper roll
* 1 empty paper towel roll
* 1 black marker
* 1 pair of scissors
* 1 glue stick
* 1 roll of masking tape
* 1 battery-powered tea light candle
* Cut out a rectangle from the cardboard box that is about twice as long as it is wide.
* Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise.
* Unfold the rectangle and cut out a circle for the robot's head from one of the top corners.
* Cut out two armholes from the sides of the rectangle, about halfway down.
* Use the black marker to draw the robot's eyes, nose, and mouth.
* Draw a line down the center of the robot's body to represent the zipper.
* Draw a few buttons on the front of the robot's body.
* Cut two pieces of masking tape that are about 6 inches long.
* Roll each piece of masking tape into a cylinder.
* Glue the cylinders to the robot's body, one on each side, just below the armholes.
* Cut two pieces of masking tape that are about 8 inches long.
* Roll each piece of masking tape into a cylinder.
* Glue the cylinders to the robot's body, one on each side, at the bottom.
* Cut out a circle from the cardboard box that is about the same size as the robot's head.
* Glue the empty toilet paper roll to the center of the circle, slightly off-center.
* Glue the empty paper towel roll to the top of the toilet paper roll.
* Draw the features of the robot's face on the cardboard circle.
* Glue the robot's head to the top of its body.
* Place the tea light candle inside the toilet paper roll.
* Watch as your robot comes to life as the tea light candle casts a warm glow through its eyes.
