How to Fasten a PVC Pipe Concrete

PVC pipes are commonly used for plumbing, drainage, and irrigation. They are also commonly used in construction to create fences, decks, and other structures. In order to securely fasten a PVC pipe to concrete, you will need the following:

- PVC pipe

- P-clamps

- 2-inch screws

- Screw gun / drill

- Measuring tape

- Level

- Pen / marker

1. Measure the diameter of the PVC pipe. Choose the appropriate P-clamps based on the pipe's diameter. Make sure the clamps are sized to fit snugly around the pipe, yet loose enough to allow the pipe to expand and contract due to temperature changes.

2. Choose the appropriate location to fasten the PVC pipe to the concrete. The concrete must be sound, dry, and free from oil, grease, or other contaminants. If necessary, clean the concrete with a wire brush and detergent, and allow it to dry thoroughly before proceeding.

3. Fasten the P-clamps to the concrete. Hold a P-clamp in the desired location and mark the concrete with a marker or pen.

4. Drill holes in the concrete at the marked locations. Use a masonry drill bit of appropriate size for the P-clamp screws.

5. Insert the P-clamp screws into the holes and tighten them. Make sure the P-clamps are secure before proceeding.

6. Slide the PVC pipe into the P-clamps. Make sure the pipe is centered in the clamps and that the pipes are firmly seated in the clamps.

7. Fasten the P-clamps to the pipe. Use the screws provided with the P-clamps to secure them to the pipe. Make sure the P-clamps are tight and that the pipe is held securely in place.
