Laying flagstone can be tricky and even difficult for the inexperienced. Flagstone is a term used for describing any sedimentary rock that can be cut or split into layers. There are many types of flagstone, including limestone, sandstone, slate and bluestone. A thicker piece of flagstone will end up lasting longer than a thin piece, which could crack or break more easily than the thicker one. Flagstone is normally used for patios, walkways and flooring.
