1. Build the frame.
- Cut the 2x4s to the desired length for the frame of your furniture.
- Assemble the frame with wood screws. Make sure the frame is square and level.
2. Attach the decking boards.
Start by attaching the first deck board to the front of the frame with wood screws.
- Space the screws evenly along the board. Continue attaching decking boards to the frame, working your way up from the bottom.
*Note:* Be sure to leave a small gap between each board.
3. Trim the decking boards.
Use a saw to trim the decking boards to the desired length for the furniture
_Example_: Bench - Trim to a length matching the width plus two times the seat's depth. This provides room to rest your back._
4. Sand the furniture.
*Use sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges of the wood.*
5. Stain or seal the furniture.
Apply 123 Stain & Protector per instructions to protect the furniture wood against moisture, and to also provide it UV protection (which can prevent sun damage and graying from happening).
