2. Flush the stain with cold water. Hold the stained area under a stream of cold water for several minutes. The force of the water should help to remove some of the coffee stains.
3. Apply a mild detergent. If the stain persists, add a small amount of mild detergent to the stained area. Gently rub the area with your fingers or a soft brush.
4. Rinse the area. Rinse the area thoroughly with cold water until all of the detergent has been removed.
5. Blot the stain again. Blot the stained area with a clean paper towel or white cloth to remove any excess moisture.
6. Hang the garment to dry. Hang the garment in a shady area to air dry. Do not put the garment in the dryer, as this can set the stain.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 if necessary. If the stain does not come out after one attempt, repeat steps 2-6. Repeat them as many times as necessary until the stain is removed.
Tips:
• Test the cleaning solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the garment before using it on the stain. This will ensure that the solution does not damage the fabric.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, such as bleach, to remove coffee stains. These chemicals can damage the fabric or fade its color.
• If the stain is old, it may be more difficult to remove. It may be necessary to pretreat the stain with a commercial stain remover.
• If the stain does not come out after repeated attempts, take the garment to a professional dry cleaner.
