Remove the dampness that encourages bacteria to thrive in your sneakers. Take out the insoles and set your shoes either in the sun or near a heat source to dry. Leave your laces untied to allow air to move through your shoes.
Clean your shoes thoroughly. If your sneakers can be laundered, place them in the washer set on warm water and high spin. If they cannot be laundered, scrub the soles with a brush and wash the tops with soap and water. Dry your shoes thoroughly when you're finished cleaning them.
Spray an anti-bacterial spray, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, inside your sneakers then let them dry for several hours before wearing them.
