How to Fix the Water Lines in a Carpet Shampooer

Carpet shampooers use a wet vacuum technique to clean and remove stains from carpets. With all of the dirt and debris circulating throughout the machine, it is no wonder that the water lines may become clogged and stop working all together. Thankfully, there are some very simple fixes that can clean out the water lines and get the machine working again.

      Dump out the water in the clean solution tank and replace it with warm white distilled vinegar. Avoid using any that is hotter than 101 degrees Fahrenheit so that you do not damage the water lines.

      Take your machine to an area where you can flush out the vinegar, such as a bathtub or patio.

      Press the release solution button and begin running the vinegar out of the machine.

      Repeat the cycle until all of the vinegar is used up. The vinegar dissolves any mineral or soap buildup within the water lines, essentially cleaning the lines from within.
