How to Clean a Hoover SteamVac

Supplies you will need:

* Hoover SteamVac cleaner

* Clean water

* Cleaning solution (such as Hoover SteamVac Carpet Shampoo or Hoover Floor Cleaner)

* Rag or towel

* Vacuum cleaner with attachments

Instructions:

1. Prepare your Hoover SteamVac.

- Fill the clean water tank with hot tap water.

- Add the cleaning solution to the detergent tank according to the manufacturer's instructions.

- Attach the desired cleaning head to the vacuum cleaner.

2. Test the cleaner on a small area of carpet.**

- Choose an inconspicuous area of carpet to test the cleaner.

- Turn on the cleaner and spray a small amount of cleaning solution onto the carpet.

- Use the cleaning head to vacuum the area.

- Check the carpet for any discoloration or damage.

- If the carpet looks fine, proceed to clean the rest of the carpet.

3. Clean the carpet.

- Start by cleaning the carpet in a small area.

- Overlap each stroke by about half to ensure that the entire carpet is cleaned.

- Continue cleaning the carpet until it is completely clean.

4. Rinse the carpet.

- Fill the clean water tank with hot tap water.

- Turn on the cleaner and rinse the carpet with clean water.

- Continue rinsing the carpet until all of the cleaning solution has been removed.

5. Allow the carpet to dry completely.

- Open the windows and doors to allow the carpet to dry quickly.

- Place fans in the room to help circulate the air.

- Do not walk on the carpet until it is completely dry.

6. Clean the Hoover SteamVac.

- Empty the dirty water tank.

- Rinse the clean water tank.

- Clean the cleaning head with hot water and soap.

- Rinse the cleaning head thoroughly.

- Allow the cleaning head to dry completely.

Additional Tips:

* To clean tough stains, pre-treat the area with a stain remover before using the Hoover SteamVac.

* If you have pets, vacuum the carpet frequently to remove pet hair before using the Hoover SteamVac.

* Hoover recommends that you clean your carpet every 6-12 months.
