- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Dishwashing liquid
- Scouring pad
- Scrub brush
- Rag or paper towels
- Optional: baking dish or sink stopper
Step 2: Prepare the pan
Before you start cleaning the burnt pan, remove any food residue by scraping it out with a spatula. If the pan is very greasy, you can run some hot water over it to help loosen the grease.
Step 3: Make the cleaning solution
In a sink or large baking dish, mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda. This mixture will create a fizzy reaction that helps to break down the burnt food.
Step 4: Scrub the pan
Dip a scouring pad or scrub brush into the cleaning solution and start scrubbing the burnt areas of the pan. Be sure to scrub thoroughly until all of the burnt food has been removed.
Step 5: Rinse the pan
Once the burnt food has been removed, rinse the pan thoroughly with hot water.
Step 6: Dry the pan
Use a rag or paper towels to dry the pan completely.
Tips:
- If the burnt food is very stubborn, you may need to repeat steps 3-5.
- You can also use a sink stopper to create a barrier between the drain and the pan, which will help to prevent any of the cleaning solution from going down the drain.
- To prevent your pans from burning in the future, be sure to use low heat when cooking and avoid leaving your pans unattended.
