How to Crush Ice Without a Blender

Using a Rolling Pin or Mallet

1. Place the ice cubes in a sturdy freezer bag or wrap them in a kitchen towel.

2. Place the bag or towel on a cutting board or other flat surface.

3. Use a rolling pin or mallet to crush the ice. You may need to apply a fair amount of force, so be sure to use a heavy rolling pin or mallet.
