How to Make Homemade Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner

Making your own citrus all-purpose cleaner at home is a great way to harness the natural cleaning power of citrus fruits. Here's a simple recipe for a natural citrus all-purpose cleaner:

Ingredients:

- Zest of 2 lemons or oranges (or a combination)

- 2 cups white vinegar

- 1 tablespoon baking soda

- 1 tablespoon Castile soap (or any mild dish soap)

- 1 gallon of water

- Optional: a few drops of essential oil (such as lemon, orange, or grapefruit) for added fragrance (optional)

Instructions:

1. Gather your ingredients and equipment. You will need a large pot or kettle, a strainer or cheesecloth, a funnel, and a gallon-sized container for storing your cleaner.

2. Prepare the citrus zest. Use a zester or grater to remove the zest from the lemons and/or oranges. Avoid the white pith, as it can add bitterness.
