How to Clean Maple Syrup Equipment

* 5-Gallon buckets with lids

* 1-Gallon buckets with lids

* Quart jars with lids

* Measuring cup

* Funnel

* Sieve

* Cheesecloth

* Butter muslin

* Spatula

* Wooden spoon

* Scrub brush

* Hot water

* Mild detergent

* Disinfectant (such as bleach or iodine)

Procedure

1. After each use, rinse all equipment with hot water.

2. Wash all equipment with mild detergent and hot water.

3. Rinse all equipment thoroughly with hot water.

4. Sanitize all equipment with a disinfectant.

5. Air dry all equipment.
