How to Change the Combo on a Sentry M0100 Safe

The perception is frequently that home safes are used only by the wealthy. However, any homeowner can benefit from securing their valuables. Valuables do not consist of just money and jewelry. Important documents, home-inventory lists, computer disks and sentimental items can be considered valuable. To maintain security, homeowners may want to change the combination to their safe frequently. This can be done as often as the safe owner deems necessary.

     Open the safe using the five-digit factory code (found on the first page of the owner's manual). Leave the safe open during the combination reset.

   • 2

     Press the "Prog" key. Type the five-digit factory code twice, deleting the previous user code.

   • 3

     Press the "Prog" key. Type a new user code. The combination on the safe is now reset.
