Check your product manual for the combination for your safe. If you have the manual, ensure that the serial number written on the front page of the manual matches up to the one in the bottom right of your safe. If you don't have a manual, you should have been given a three digit number.
Turn the dial as far to the right as it will go. It should stop on the number 87. The dial is on the upper portion of the safe door. Turn the handle clockwise as far as you can, and then open the door as much as it will allow.
Turn the handle counter-clockwise to extend the locking bolts. Turn the handle until it can't go any further.
Set the dial to "0." Turn the dial counter-clockwise, going past the first number of the combination three times. Turn the wheel slowly when approaching the number for the fourth time, because if you go too far you'll have to restart the process. Stop on the first number of the combination on the fourth time round.
Turn the dial clockwise and pass the second number of the combination twice before settling on it. On the third time around, stop the dial on the second number.
Turn the dial counter-clockwise again. Go past the third number of the combination once, and then stop on it the second time around.
Turn the dial clockwise until it stops. Now turn the handle clockwise to open the safe fully. The process for opening the safe from closed is the same, except there is no need to partially open the safe as described in Step 2. That is only done to test the combination safely.
Turn the handle around counter-clockwise to lock the safe when it is closed. Spin the dial around to the left four times to scramble the combination and secure the safe.
