Step 4: Apply the wood stain.

- Use a paintbrush to apply the wood stain to the window frame.

- Be sure to apply the stain evenly.

- Allow the stain to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 5: Distress the window frame.

- Sand the edges and corners of the frame to create a worn look.

- Be careful not to sand too much, or you will remove the stain.

Step 6: Seal the window frame.

- Use a sealer to seal the window frame.

- This will protect the stain and prevent it from fading.

- Allow the sealer to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step 7: Reinstall the hardware.

- Reinstall the hardware that you removed in Step 2.

- Your distressed window frame is now complete!

Tips:

- If you want a more rustic look, you can use a darker wood stain.

- If you want a more polished look, you can use a lighter wood stain.

- You can also add additional distress marks to the window frame, such as dents or scratches.

- Be creative and have fun!
