An unsightly crackled wall can be fixed surprisingly quickly by placing a few items over the crack and then allowing them to dry. The method provides a seal that is difficult to penetrate. A crackled wall is formed when the surface is stressed. Unlike a cracked wall, where one crack forms along the surface, a crackled wall has a web of cracks that spread across the area, ruining the appearance of the surface.
