Instructions

    • 1

Pick up your Craftsman snow thrower, and get it up on cinder blocks or something else sturdy that will allow you to keep the tires elevated for the time being. It is highly recommended that you ask someone to help you lift the machine, just in case you need some extra help.

    • 2

Wrap your leather or canvas strap around the tire as tightly as possible. Make sure the strap is strong and will hold under considerably amounts of stress. Thread the strap directly down the middle of the tire.

    • 3

Wedge your screwdriver in between your strap and the tire. Wear gloves here, because you are going to vigorously rotate the screwdriver as it wraps up the belt and squeezes the tire. What is happening is that the beads that normally secure your tire to its rim may have come lose. This tightening will cause them to bond together again.

Connect your air compressor to the tire once the beads and rim are secured, and simply inflate the tire as normal. If you notice the tire filling with air, that means you have solved your problem. You can remove your strap and screwdriver, and move onto the next tire.

Execute the same technique, using your strap and screwdriver, on any other tires that need repaired.
