How to Defrost Frozen Swordfish

There are a few different ways to defrost frozen swordfish:

In the refrigerator: This is the safest and most gradual way to defrost frozen swordfish. Simply place the frozen swordfish in the refrigerator on a plate covered with plastic wrap and allow it to thaw for 12-24 hours, depending on the size of the fish.

In cold water: This method is a quicker way to defrost frozen swordfish, but it's not as safe as thawing in the refrigerator. Place the frozen swordfish in a large bowl filled with cold water and let it sit for 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the fish. Be sure to change the water every 30 minutes to ensure that the fish defrosts evenly.

In the microwave: This is the quickest way to defrost frozen swordfish, but it's also the riskiest. Microwave the frozen swordfish on low power for 2-3 minutes, depending on the size of the fish. Be sure to check the fish frequently to make sure that it doesn't cook.

Once the swordfish is defrosted, it can be cooked immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
