- Adjustable wrench
- Pliers

- Replacement washer (if needed)
Steps
* 1. Turn off the water supply to the faucet.
* 2. Use the adjustable wrench to loosen and remove the packing nut below the faucet handle.
* 3. Remove the old washer from the valve body.
* 4. Inspect the valve seat for damage. If the valve seat is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
* 5. Place a new washer on the valve seat.
* 6. Re-install the packing nut and tighten it until it is snug.
* 7. Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks.
* 8. If there is still a leak, you may need to replace the cartridge.
* 9. To replace the cartridge, remove the handle and the packing nut.
* 10. Unscrew the cartridge from the faucet body.
* 11. Insert a new cartridge into the faucet body and tighten it into place.
* 12. Re-install the packing nut and the handle.
* 13. Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks.
