How to Create a Rock Look With Paint

Materials:

* Base coat paint in a light color

* Second coat paint in a dark color

* Small rocks or pebbles

* Clear sealant

Instructions:

1. Prep the surface you'll be painting. Make sure it's clean, dry, and free of any dirt or debris.

2. Apply the base coat paint. Use a light color that will help the second coat of paint stand out.

3. Let the base coat paint dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Apply the second coat of paint. Use a dark color that will contrast the light color of the base coat.

5. While the second coat of paint is still wet, sprinkle the small rocks or pebbles onto the surface. Press the rocks into the paint so that they're embedded slightly.

6. Let the paint dry completely. This may take several hours or overnight.

7. Apply a clear sealant to protect the paint and rocks. Let the sealant dry completely before moving or using the object.
