2.Place the painting face down on a flat surface. Be sure to place it on a smooth and clean surface, such as a sheet of glass or acrylic sheet.
3.Cover the painting with a sheet of parchment paper or wax paper. This will help to protect the surface of the painting from being scratched or damaged.
4.Place a stack of heavy books on top of the painting. The weight of the books will help to press the painting flat.
5. Wait 24 to 48 hours. Allow the painting to sit under the weight of the books for at least 24 to 48 hours. This will ensure that the painting is completely flattened.
6.Carefully remove the painting from under the books and the parchment paper. Your painting should now be flat and ready to frame.
TIP: If you live in a humid climate, you may want to place a desiccant pack under the painting to help to absorb moisture. This will help to prevent the painting from warping or wrinkling.
