How to Install an AquaSource Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet

Instead of including a separate sprayer, the AquaSource pull-down faucet allows you to pull the entire faucet down and away so you can spray the entire sink. At first glance, it may seem that this is a more complicated style of faucet to install in your kitchen sink. In reality, however, the faucet installs the same way you install faucets without a pull-down feature as long as you make sure all of the hoses insert through the opening in the sink first.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove everything from the cabinet underneath your sink.

    • 2

Shut off the water underneath the kitchen sink. Turn off both the hot and the cold water valves. Turning a faucet to the right turns it off, while turning a faucet to the left turns it back on. Unscrew the connectors for the water supply to the faucet and move those hoses to the side until you are ready to attach the hoses for the new faucet.

    • 3

Spread a rag or towel underneath the sink to catch any excess water. This makes clean-up easier later.

    • 4

Unscrew the nuts and bolts that hold your existing faucet in place. Use an adjustable wrench. Lift the old faucet out of the hole and set it aside.

    • 5

Center the new AquaSource faucet over the hole for the faucet. Insert all of the hoses through the hole and make sure they can move freely.

    • 6

Use a wrench to tighten the bolts that secure the faucet to the sink. Attach the home's water supply hoses to the faucet's water hoses and tighten the nuts.

    • 7

Turn on the hot and cold water supply to the faucet and test the faucet to make sure it is functioning.
