How to Install a SimpleSolutions Stair Nose

## Tools Needed

* Hammer

* Crowbar

* Pry bar

* Tape measure

* Utility knife

* Pencil

* Putty knife

* Rubber mallet

* Safety glasses

##Step 1: Remove the Old Stair Nose

1. Use a pry bar to pry the old stair nose up.

2. Start at one end of the nose and work your way down the length of the stair.

3. Be careful not to damage the stair tread.

Step 2: Measure the Stair Tread

1. Use a tape measure to measure the length and width of the stair tread.

2. Write down these measurements.

Step 3: Cut the Stair Nose

1. Use a utility knife to cut the stair nose to the length you need.

2. Make sure the cut is square.

Step 4: Apply Adhesive to the Stair Nose

1. Use a putty knife to apply adhesive to the back of the stair nose.

2. Make sure to apply adhesive to the entire surface of the nose.

Step 5: Install the Stair Nose

1. Position the stair nose in place on the stair tread.

2. Press down firmly on the nose to secure it to the tread.

3. Use a rubber mallet to tap the nose into place.

Step 6: Allow the Adhesive to Dry

1. Allow the adhesive to dry completely before using the stairs.

2. This may take several hours.
