How to Convert a Socket to a Three-Way Switch

Converting a lamp socket to a three-way switch is not difficult; it can be done in about 30 minutes with just a screwdriver. The socket on the lamp plugs into the socket base and can be replaced with a special three-way switch to give you more lighting options. You can find three-way switches to fit your lamp at any local home improvement or department store.
