Instructions:
Prepare the wall surface. Make sure the painted cinder blocks are clean, dry, and free of any loose paint. Caulk any cracks or gaps between the blocks.
Install Tile Backer Board. Using a screw gun, attach the backer board to the concrete blocks.
Start by measuring and cutting the backer board to fit the wall, then attach it using Tile Backer Board Screws or galvanized nails.
Apply tile adhesive to the back of each tile. Use a tile trowel to apply the adhesive in a thin layer, making sure to cover the entire back of the tile.
Press the tile into place on the wall. Start at the bottom corner of the wall and work your way up, making sure to press each tile firmly into the adhesive.
Continue applying tiles until the wall is covered. Use a level to make sure the tiles are aligned properly.
Let the tile adhesive dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. This usually takes 24-48 hours.
Grout the tiles. Once the adhesive has dried, apply grout to the joints between the tiles. Use a grout float to spread the grout into the joints, then wipe away the excess with a sponge.
Let the grout dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. This usually takes about 24 hours.
Seal the tiles. Apply a tile sealer to the tiles to protect them from moisture and stains.
Enjoy your new tiled shower!
