Before you begin any work on the light fixture, make sure that the power is turned off. You can do this by flipping the switch that controls the light fixture to the "Off" position. If the light fixture is wired directly into the electrical system, you will need to turn off the power at the main breaker box.
If your current fixture has a globe or diffuser that is covering the tubes, you will need to remove it first. To do so, simply unlatch or untwist the globe from its base. Once the globe is removed, you will be able to see the tube lights.
To remove the tubes from the fixture, simply give them a gentle turn and then pull them straight down.
Be careful not to drop the tubes, as they may break.
Before installing new light tubes, it is a good idea to clean the light fixture. This will ensure that the new tubes will fit properly and will not be damaged by dust or dirt. You can clean the fixture with a mild detergent and water, or you can use a commercially available light fixture cleaner.
To insert the new light tubes, simply align them with the holes in the fixture and push them up into place. Again, be careful not to drop the tubes.
Once the new tubes are in place, you can reattach the light fixture cover. To do this, simply snap it back into place or secure it with the screws that you removed in Step 2.
Once the light fixture is reassembled, you can turn the power back on and enjoy your new light tubes.
