3. Scissors
4. Tape (adhesive and double-sided)
5. Ruler
6. Pencil or Pen
7. Decorative Ribbon or Bows (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preparing the Box:
- Find a large, sturdy cardboard box that can accommodate your gift.
- If the box has any openings or flaps, tape them shut securely.
2. Measuring and Cutting:
- Measure the length, width, and height of the box.
- Add approximately 2 inches (5 centimeters) to each measurement to allow for the wrapping paper.
3. Cutting Wrapping Paper:
- Cut two pieces of wrapping paper: one for the top and one for the bottom of the box.
- Cut four additional pieces of wrapping paper for the sides of the box.
4. Wrapping the Top and Bottom:
- Place one of the large wrapping paper pieces on a flat surface.
- Center the box on the paper and wrap it, securing the paper with adhesive tape.
- Repeat this step for the other large piece of wrapping paper, covering the bottom of the box.
5. Wrapping the Sides:
- Place one of the side wrapping paper pieces vertically against one side of the box, covering the top and bottom edges.
- Secure the paper with tape.
- Repeat this step for the remaining three sides of the box.
6. Reinforcing the Corners:
- Cut small squares of wrapping paper and reinforce the corners by placing the squares over them.
- Tape these squares in place.
7. Adding Decorative Touches:
- Add decorative ribbon or bows to enhance the appearance of the gift box, if desired.
- You can tie the ribbon around the box or attach it to the corners using double-sided tape.
8. Finishing Up:
- Double-check that all edges and corners are securely taped down to ensure the box is sturdy.
- Place your gift inside the customized big gift box and close the lid.
