- Tennis balls (new or used)
- Acrylic paint (in a variety of Christmas colors)
- Paintbrushes
- Glitter (in a variety of colors)
- Glue
- Ribbon
- Scissors
Step 1: Prepare the tennis balls.
- If you're using new tennis balls, you'll need to cut a small hole in the side of each ball.
- If you're using used tennis balls, you can skip this step.
Step 2: Paint the tennis balls.
- Use the acrylic paint to paint the tennis balls in a variety of Christmas colors.
- You can be creative with your designs, or you can follow one of the patterns provided below.
Step 3: Add glitter.
- Once the paint is dry, use glue to add glitter to the tennis balls.
- You can add glitter to the entire ball, or you can just add it to certain areas, such as the stripes or the letters.
Step 4: Add a ribbon.
- Cut a piece of ribbon about 12 inches long.
- Thread the ribbon through the hole in the side of the tennis ball.
- Tie the ribbon in a knot.
Step 5: Hang your Christmas ornaments!
- You can hang your Christmas ornaments on your tree, from your mantel, or anywhere else you like.
- Stripes: Paint the tennis ball with alternating stripes of red and green.
- Snowflakes: Paint snowflakes on the tennis ball using white acrylic paint.
- Santa hats: Paint the tennis ball red with a white brim. Add a white pom-pom to the top of the hat.
- Christmas trees: Paint a green Christmas tree on the tennis ball. Add ornaments and a star to the tree.
- Reindeer: Paint a brown reindeer on the tennis ball. Add antlers and a red nose.
