Flowers for Tall Centerpieces

Gerbera Daisies

• If left untrimmed, gerbera daisies make a striking addition to a tall centerpiece. They are simple and elegant and come in many colors. You can mix the daisies with baby's breath or another filler flower, but don't overpower the daisies. Tall, slim vases will accent these flowers best.

Cherry Blossoms

• Cherry blossoms are long and fragrant, and would be beautiful for a springtime wedding. Put them in vases alongside roses and brightly colored hydrangeas for a centerpiece that is really eye-catching. Use a wide-mouth vase for extra room and add other pink flowers or additional greenery around the cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms will stand tall among the other beautiful flowers.

Sunflowers

• Sunflowers are striking in appearance and would make a great complement to a rustic wedding. One or two sunflowers peeking out of a vase can make a statement on their own, but you could also add some daisies in complementary colors. Daisies and sunflowers work well together, and if you add some greenery, they would be perfect for a fall-themed wedding or party.

Calla Lilies

• Calla lilies look sophisticated and would be a good addition to centerpieces for an elegant reception. Fill a vase with marbles that match your theme colors and stick a few lilies into them. Another idea to accent the lilies is to put them in colored water. Tie a pretty ribbon around the lilies to add some visual interest to the arrangement.
