Sand random areas of the vanity with medium grit sandpaper to create a distressed look. Also rub the sandpaper over the edges and corners of the vanity.
Wipe away any leftover dust from the vanity using a soft cloth.
Apply both the base coat and top coat of a two-part crackle glaze over the entire vanity according to the instructions of the specific brand. Allow the crackle glaze to dry completely.
Apply antique glaze all over the vanity using a clean rag. Rub the glaze into the vanity thoroughly, focusing especially on any cracks as well as the previously sandpapered areas.
Wipe away any excess antique glaze with a soft cloth. Allow the vanity to dry completely.
Apply a coat of oil based varnish to the vanity for the finishing look.
