Usage

• Nautolex is primarily used in marine applications, such as flooring on boats. The product takes the place of carpeting in high-traffic areas and can serve as outdoor carpeting on your lawn. Use individual strips of the product and create walkways through a lawn or garden. Nautolex flooring is suitable for porches, driveways, patios and decks. Use the flooring as protection for tiles or wood boards. Rolls are available in widths up to 72 inches.

Colors

• Nautolex flooring is available in multiple colors. The black option is shiny, which keeps the flooring from looking too dark or heavy. The blue option is dark and rich in color, while the natural color mixes different shades of brown and cream for a more neutral option. The shark shade mimics the look and texture of sharkskin with different shades of gray and black.

Considerations

• Nautolex flooring requires special adhesive that keeps the pieces attached to the flooring. The company manufacturers its own Nautolex #88 Flooring Adhesive. The adhesive comes in a quart-size for smaller jobs and a gallon-size for larger jobs. You apply the adhesive to the original floor with a paintbrush and lay the Nautolex flooring over that. Pressing down on the pieces removes any air bubbles. Use a utility knife to trim away the excess pieces.
