Tools and materials:
- Fiberglass insulation
- Insulation adhesive
- Utility knife
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Safety glasses
- Work gloves
Instructions:
1. Prepare the surface. The surface to which you are applying the fiberglass insulation must be clean, dry, and free of any dust or debris. If the surface is not properly prepared, the insulation will not adhere properly.
2. Measure and cut the insulation. Use a tape measure to measure the area you need to cover with insulation. Then, use a utility knife or scissors to cut the insulation to size.
3. Apply the insulation adhesive. Use a paintbrush to apply the insulation adhesive to the surface you are covering. Be sure to apply the adhesive evenly and in a thick layer.
4. Install the insulation. Press the fiberglass insulation into the adhesive. Be sure to press firmly so that the insulation is securely in place.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the entire area is covered with insulation.
6. Allow the adhesive to dry completely. This will usually take several hours. Once the adhesive is dry, the insulation will be securely in place.
