How to Decorate and Color Easter Eggs

Materials:

- Hard-boiled eggs

- Food coloring

- Vinegar

- Water

- Spoons

- Cups or bowls

- Slotted spoon

- Paper towels

- Newspaper or plastic tablecloth

- Optional: stickers, glitter, ribbon, etc.

Instructions:

1. Hard boil your eggs.

Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10-12 minutes. Transfer the eggs to a colander and let them cool completely.

2. Set up your coloring station.

Cover your work surface with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth. Fill several cups or bowls with water, adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar to each bowl. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl, mixing until the color is uniform.

3. Color your eggs.

Using a slotted spoon, carefully place an egg in each bowl of colored water. Let the eggs sit for a few minutes, or longer for a more intense color.

4. Remove the eggs from the dye.

Use the slotted spoon to remove the eggs from the dye and place them on a paper towel-lined plate. Let the eggs dry completely.

5. Decorate your eggs.

Once the eggs are dry, you can decorate them with stickers, glitter, ribbon, etc. Be creative and have fun!
