How to Make Bee Wings for a Costume

* Yellow cardstock paper (2 sheets)

* 2 pieces of large clear plastic (I used transparency film)

* Wire coat hangers (8)

* Black electrical tape

* Scissors

* Stapler

* Hot glue gun

Instructions:

Step 1: Create a bee wing template.

* Print the bee wing template onto yellow cardstock paper.

* Cut out the template.

* Place the template on the 2nd yellow sheet.

* Cut out a second bee wing shape.

Step 2: Attach the wings.

* Place one of the wire coat hangers in the middle of the bee wing template.

* Fold the edges of the template over the coat hanger and staple in place.

Step 3: Attach the wings.

* Fold one piece of the plastic wrap in half.

* Stapler the plastic wrap to the base of the wing along with the coat hanger.

* Repeat with the second wing.

Step 3: Wrap the wings with black electrical tape.

* Wrap the base of the wings with black electrical tape to cover the staples.

* Continue wrapping the tape down the coat hanger until you reach the end.

Step 4: Add details.

* Use the hot glue gun to add black and yellow details to the wings.

* Be creative and have fun with this step!

Step 5: Wear your bee wings!

* Attach the bee wings to your back using straps, and you're ready to fly!
