- Scissors or a rotary cutter
- Fabric tape measure
- Pins
- Sewing needle
- Thread that matches the tulle color
- Ribbon (optional)
- Flowers or other decorations (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Measure and Cut the Tulle Fabric:
- Measure the length and width of the pews you want to decorate.
- Cut the tulle fabric into pieces that are long enough to drape over the front and back of the pews and wide enough to cover the seat.
Step 2: Attach the Tulle to the Pews:
- Place a piece of tulle over the front of a pew.
- Use pins to attach the tulle to the pew, starting at the top and working your way down.
- Repeat this step for the back of the pew and any additional pews you want to decorate.
Step 3: Sew the Tulle Together:
- Once the tulle is pinned in place, use a needle and matching thread to sew the pieces of tulle together.
- Sew a running stitch along the top edge of the tulle, pulling it slightly to gather it.
- Repeat this step along the bottom edge of the tulle.
Step 4: Add Additional Decorations (optional):
- You can add additional decorations to the tulle pew bows.
- Some ideas include:
- Tying ribbon around the center of the bow
- Adding fresh flowers or greenery
- Attaching decorative brooches or pins
- Use your imagination to create a beautiful and unique look for your wedding church pews.
