How to Make Wine Glass Candles

Wine glass candles are a beautiful and elegant way to add ambiance to any room. They're also relatively easy to make, so you can create your custom candles in any scent or color you like.

Materials:

* Wine glasses (any size or shape)

* Soy wax flakes (available at most craft stores)

* Wicks (available at most craft stores)

* Fragrance oil (optional)

* Candle dye (optional)

* A double boiler or heatproof bowl

* A spoon

* A spoon or chopstick

* A paper towel

Instructions:

1. Prepare the wine glasses. Wash the wine glasses thoroughly and dry them well.

2. Melt the soy wax. Place the soy wax flakes in a double boiler or heatproof bowl set over simmering water. Stir the wax constantly until it is completely melted.

3. Add the fragrance oil and candle dye (optional). If you want your candles to have a scent or color, add a few drops of fragrance oil or candle dye to the melted wax. Stir well to combine.

4. Insert the wicks. Hold the end of a wick in the center of the bottom of a wine glass. Pour a small amount of hot wax into the glass to secure the wick in place.

5. Pour the wax into the glasses. Carefully pour the melted wax into the glasses, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top.

6. Cool and harden the candles. Let the candles cool for several hours or overnight until the wax is completely hardened.

7. Trim the wicks. Once the candles are hardened, trim the wicks to about 1/4 inch long.

Tips:

* To make sure the wax adheres properly to the glass, you can roughen the bottom of the glass with sandpaper before you insert the wick.

* If you're using a double boiler, be sure to fill the bottom pot with only a few inches of water. You don't want the water to touch the bottom of the bowl containing the wax.

* If you don't have a double boiler, you can melt the wax in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water. Just be sure to stir the wax constantly so it doesn't burn.

* You can add any scent oils you like to your candles. Some popular scents for candles include lavender, vanilla, and peppermint.

* You can also add color to your candles with candle dye. Candle dye is available in a variety of colors, so you can create candles in any color you like.
