  1. Candle Ideas

    • Don’t throw out your jam and jelly jars. Instead use them to hold PartyLite tealights and hang them outdoors from your patio umbrellas or tree branches. To make a candle holder, clean out your jam jar. Take a thin piece of copper wire and wrap around the lip of the jar and twist. Using a longer piece wrap around either side of the jar creating a loop for hanging. Hang at night under your outdoor trees and watch the light sparkle from the wire and glass. Consider the scented PartyLite tealights that come in sorbet flavors, including pineapple-coconut, passion fruit, and papaya. Your outdoor patio will smell delicious.

If you have water, you can create a beautiful area for floating candles. Using items from around your house like wine glasses and flower vases will provide an attractive container to float your PartyLite floater candles. Add food coloring to the water for added color and drama. Collect a few large leaves and place on top of the container to hold the candle. This will add color to your creation. If you want to create a dramatic centerpiece, add a mix of lemons and limes to a tall cylindrical flower vase filled with water. Place PartyLite floaters on top and you have an attractive centerpiece.

Another easy candle idea is to use lemons as a votive. Cut the lemon in half lengthwise and hollow out the skin and juice leaving the lemon rind. Place one of the colorful votive candles from the PartyLite sampler inside the lemon half. Place these on a table when you have guests over or outside for a garden party. When lit, the aroma of lemons will drift through your home. Try using tangerines or limes as well.

For a dinner party display, try making paper bag luminaries. These are beautiful when lit and can be placed on a table or cascading up a drive-way or staircase. To make the luminaries, take a white paper bag and glue on doilies on the inside of the bag. When lit, the pattern will shine through the bag creating a beautiful design.

Photo-hinged candle frames is an imaginative and beautiful way to not only showcase your favorite photographs but create a beautiful centerpieces at a dinner party. Because the frame is hinged, simply wrap the 3 photographs around the PartyLite votive. The light from the candle will illuminate the photograph. Make sure the photographs are printed on vellum paper which is translucent under candlelight.
