How to Arrange a Cold-Cuts Platter

Step 1: Choose your cold cuts.

A good variety of cold cuts is key to a successful platter. Choose a mix of salty, sweet, and savory meats. Some popular options include ham, salami, prosciutto, mortadella, and soppressata.

Step 2: Slice the cold cuts.

The thickness of the cold cuts is a matter of personal preference. However, if you're slicing the meat yourself, be sure to slice it thinly so that it's easy to eat.

Step 3: Arrange the cold cuts on the platter.

Start by placing the larger pieces of meat in the center of the platter. Then, fill in the gaps with smaller pieces. Be sure to overlap the slices slightly so that the platter looks full.

Step 4: Add other accompaniments.

In addition to cold cuts, you can also add other accompaniments to your platter, such as cheese, crackers, bread, olives, and pickles.

Step 5: Serve the platter.

Cold-cuts platters are best served at room temperature. Be sure to give your guests plenty of plates and napkins so that they can enjoy the food.
