Fasten the four 18 inch long 2-by-2's to the two 30 inch long two inch thick wood curved pieces. This makes the rocker bases of the swivel rocker. Use the drill with the screwdriver bit fastened into it along with the three inch screws to put these pieces together.
Attach one of the two 20 inch square 1/2 inch thick plywood pieces to the four 18 inch long 2-by-2's. Position the rocker bases where the four 18 inch long 2-by-2's will come up with one 2-by-2 at each corner of the plywood square. This fastens together the swivel rocker's complete base. Drill three inch screws through the 1/2 inch thick plywood square and into the 18 inch long 2-by-2 legs.
Fasten the bottom of the square chair swivel turning plate to the center of the top of the 20 inch square 1/2 inch thick plywood piece. This is the top of the rocker's complete base. Drill the 3/4 inch screws into the holes on the chair swivel turning plate and into the plywood. This attaches the swivel of the rocker to the rocker's base. The rocker base is completed now.
Fasten the top of the square chair swivel turning plate to the center of the bottom of the other 20 inch square 1/2 inch thick plywood piece, which will be the seat of the rocker. Drive the 3/4 inch screws into the holes on the chair swivel turning plate and into the plywood. This fastens the swivel of the rocker to the seat of the rocker.
Attach the two 14 inch long 2-by-2's in a vertical position to the two parallel corners of the 20 inch plywood square that is the rocker's seat. These will be the upright back supports of the rocker. Fasten the 14 inch long by 20 inch 1/2 inch thick plywood piece to these upright supports. This builds the rocker's complete back support.
Fasten the two nine inch long 2-by-2's at points 12 inches forward of corners where the 14 inch long upright back supports were placed. Attach these to the rocker's seat with the 3 inch screws. These pieces need to be parallel to one another as they are the supports for the rocker's arm pieces.
Fasten the two 12 inch long 2-by-2's with one on each side to the nine inch long 2-by-2 uprights and to the 14 inch long upright back supports. These are the chair's arm pieces. Fasten with 3 inch screws.
Stitch together three sides of the square cotton canvas fabric pieces. Make sure to leave one side open.
Insert the 20 inch square one inch thick foam piece into the canvas fabric envelope.
Sew the remaining side of the cotton canvas fabric envelope.
Place the cushion on the rocker's seat.
