Step 1: Prepare the foam and batting
* Place the foam rubber on the chaise lounge to make sure it fits snugly. If necessary, trim the foam to size.
* Cut the batting to the same size as the foam rubber.
Step 2: Sew the piping to the fabric
* Pin the piping to the right side of the fabric, along the edge that will go around the front of the chaise lounge cushion.
* Sew the piping in place, stitching as close to the edge of the piping as possible.
Step 3: Sew the side seams of the cushion cover
* With right sides together, pin the two side seams of the fabric together, from the piping edge to the bottom of the cushion cover.
* Sew the side seams in place, using a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
Step 4: Insert the foam and batting
* Turn the cushion cover right side out.
* Place the foam rubber inside the cushion cover, positioning it evenly.
* Place the batting on top of the foam rubber.
Step 5: Sew the top seam of the cushion cover
* With right sides together, pin the top seam of the cushion cover closed.
* Sew the top seam in place, using a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
Step 6: Add the finishing touches
* Trim any excess fabric or batting from the inside of the cushion cover.
* Insert a zipper or add ties to close the cushion cover.
* Fluff the cushion up and enjoy!
