This geometric log side table is the perfect addition to any patio or outdoor space. It's easy to make and requires minimal materials.
Materials:
- 4 logs, each about 12 inches in diameter and 18 inches long
- 4 pieces of 2x4 lumber, each 12 inches long
- 1 sheet of 1/2-inch plywood, cut into a 12-inch square
- Wood screws
- Stain or paint (optional)
Tools:

#### Step 1: Prepare the Logs
- Use a saw to cut the logs to the desired length.
- To make the logs more stable, remove the bark using a hand ax.
- Then sand them until they are smooth.
#### Step 2: Build the Frame
- Measure and cut the 2x4s to create a square frame that is 12 inches by 12 inches.
- Use wood screws to secure the frame together.
- Make sure the frame is square by checking the diagonals with a tape measure.
#### Step 3: Attach the Logs
- Place one log in the center of the frame.
- Use wood screws to attach the log to the frame from the inside.
- Attach the remaining 3 logs to the frame in the same way, forming a square.
#### Step 4: Attach the Plywood
- Place the plywood square on top of the logs and secure it to the frame with screws.
#### Step 5: Finish and Enjoy
- To protect the wood from the elements, stain or paint the side table in a desired finish.
