This geometric log side table is the perfect addition to any patio or outdoor space. It's easy to make and requires minimal materials.

Materials:

- 4 logs, each about 12 inches in diameter and 18 inches long

- 4 pieces of 2x4 lumber, each 12 inches long

- 1 sheet of 1/2-inch plywood, cut into a 12-inch square

- Wood screws

- Stain or paint (optional)

Tools:

- Drill

- Saw

- Sander

- Measuring tape

- Level

#### Step 1: Prepare the Logs

- Use a saw to cut the logs to the desired length.

- To make the logs more stable, remove the bark using a hand ax.

- Then sand them until they are smooth.

#### Step 2: Build the Frame

- Measure and cut the 2x4s to create a square frame that is 12 inches by 12 inches.

- Use wood screws to secure the frame together.

- Make sure the frame is square by checking the diagonals with a tape measure.

#### Step 3: Attach the Logs

- Place one log in the center of the frame.

- Use wood screws to attach the log to the frame from the inside.

- Attach the remaining 3 logs to the frame in the same way, forming a square.

#### Step 4: Attach the Plywood

- Place the plywood square on top of the logs and secure it to the frame with screws.

#### Step 5: Finish and Enjoy

- To protect the wood from the elements, stain or paint the side table in a desired finish.

- Once it's dry, the side table is ready to enjoy!
