Also, sofabeds with the contained bed can be extremely heavy due to the spring-form mattress and mechanisms inside. If you are planning to place one in your home on a higher floor or in awkward space, prepare the route in advance.

• Sofabeds can experience a high degree of wear and tear, whether there are many guests using it regularly or if the sofa is a favorite place to sit in the living room. A removable slipcover may be useful in this scenario, as it can be washed and will maintain the fresh look of the piece. In addition, in terms of repairs, maintain the warranty if applicable and locate a reliable business in case repairs are needed to the mechanism.
