How to Cook Stuffing in a Crockpot

## Crockpot Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 cup chopped celery

- 1 cup chopped onion

- 1/2 cup chopped carrots

- 1 cup chopped mushrooms

- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

- 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage

- 1/4 cup chopped fresh thyme

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/4 cup melted butter

- 1/2 cup chicken broth

- 1 loaf day-old bread, cut into 1-inch cubes

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the celery, onion, carrots, mushrooms, parsley, sage, thyme, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, melted butter, and chicken broth.

2. Add the bread cubes and stir to combine.

3. Pour the stuffing mixture into a slow cooker; cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the bread is moist and the vegetables are tender.

4. Fluff the stuffing with a fork before serving.

Tips:

* To make a richer stuffing, use half chicken broth and half water.

* For a more savory stuffing, add 1/2 cup of chopped cooked sausage or 1/2 cup of chopped cooked ham.

* If you don't have a slow cooker, you can cook the stuffing in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-45 minutes, or until the bread is moist and the vegetables are tender.

* Stuffing can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 3 days; reheat in the slow cooker or oven before serving.
