How to Fix Broken Glass Vases

Sometimes, even after repairing a broken glass vase, you can still see the cracks because of the transparency of glass. But if you use the correct bonding agent and tools, you should be able to restore the essence of your special sentimental or heirloom glass vases.

Things You'll Need

  • Rubber gloves
  • Ultra-violet cured glue (specifically for glass repair) or silicone glue
  • Cotton swab
  • Masking tape
  • Razor blade

Instructions

    • 1

Set up your workstation in a well-lit and well-ventilated area.

    • 2

Gather all the broken pieces and fit them together to make sure you have all of them.

    • 3

Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands from the glass and glue.

    • 4

Apply your glue of choice with a cotton swab to each piece and fit them together.

    • 5

Hold the vase together temporarily by wrapping it with masking tape. Let it dry for at least 24 hours.

    • 6

Remove the masking tape and gently use a razor blade to scrape away any excess glue.
